Birthday Bash!

Tonight our San Diego girls are having the soiree of the year, celebrating and basking in the success of the past five years!

Couture Events opened its’ doors five years ago and it has been running full speed ahead ever since!

Krystel wouldn’t brag about herself, but as her employees Karina and I get to brag about her all we want! We are so proud to be a part of this team and honored to be mentored by someone as amazing as Krystel. She is crazy smart, creative, silly, kind-hearted, loyal, inspiring, joyful, and so incredibly good at what she does. Couture Events would be nothing without her and we are so excited for all the adventures ahead!

Couture Events is proof that following your dreams is worth it. Every. Single. Time.

Tonight we celebrate our company and we say thank you to Krystel for being a leader, a visionary, and a friend.

To many more years ahead of weddings, sparkles, laughter, and inspiration!!!

Time for Change!

Change is hard! I have always had a really rough time dealing with change, I would rather have things stay the same but they NEVER DO. The one constant in life is CHANGE. But this time is different, for the first time in my life I think I AM READY FOR IT!

There is so much we have been working on at Couture! We are creating a brand new website and blog, updating our office space, and the biggest news is that we are also updating and changing our services- don’t worry, this is going to be AMAZING for EVERYONE! After being in business for 5 years we see how we could do things EVEN BETTER! May 1st will be our 5th birthday and it’s time for some MAJOR CHANGES! Still Couture, only more FABULOUS and more FOCUSED than ever!

To CELEBRATE we will be throwing a HUGE COUTURE BIRTHDAY BASH!

In other news… Also on May 1st, Joel and I will be moving to Little Italy! That’s right, we are moving our home CLOSER TO COUTURE! We tried out suburbia and to be honest, its just NOT US. So we are moving OUT and moving UP… that’s right- UP. Up to the 23rd floor of a fabulous high rise on the boarder of Little Italy and Downtown San Diego. We will have a perfect view of the Harbor and I will be able to walk to work and Joel can ride his bike. I can’t wait to get movin…

Home is where the HEART is::

Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL? We are BEYOND EXCITED! The things we are looking forward to in Little Italy are COUNTLESS, but many of them have to do with food: crepes, gelato, pizza by the slice, and frappes… ok, you get the idea! We will soon be sharing the Tastes of Little Italy with you as well right here on the Couture Blog!

With so many changes, we are living by the words of Dory- “Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim.”

We do have some incredible brides right now and we are loving each and every one of their weddings- that is one constant in this crazy changing world, our beautiful BRIDES! We LOVE YOU and we are so thankful for you! This year more than ever we are HERE FOR YOU and have loved planning, coordinating, and styling each of your wonderful weddings.

Featured in Exquisite Weddings Magazine:: Parisian Spring

Recalling the amorous feeling of strolling Parisian streets in springtime, Couture Events designed a classically elegant French table—but not without adding a dose of eclectic flare. In fact, they were all about the unexpected: peonies and roses pop out of candlesticks while crystal chandeliers lie on the table, rather than hang from above. The whimsical details lend a touch of je ne sais quoi.

The NotWedding San Diego: Danielle + Richard

We LOVED coordinating the 2nd NotWedding in San Diego at the New Children’s Museum in the heart of downtown San Diego. This year our theme colors were bright and bold! The night was filled with balloons, peacocks made out of chopsticks, and tons of fun & fabulous vendors.

THE NOT WEDDING IS A BRIDAL SHOW ALTERNATIVE IN THE FORM OF A BIG, FAKE WEDDING.
“WEDDING GUESTS” ARE BRIDES-TO-BE WHO ENJOY AN EMOTIONAL CEREMONY, A TASTY DINNER AND A
DANCE-PARTY RECEPTION WHILE TRULY EXPERIENCING THE WEDDING VENDORS IN ACTION!
