This gorgeous Beauty and the Beast shoot & proposal took place at the Valentino Estate in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. The bride, Chelsey, LOVES Disney and her boyfriend, Matt, asked Sara France Photography & Couture Events to create an inspiration shoot that would be a disney dream come true for Chelsey! We had so much fun keeping the proposal a secret while making this amazing inspiration a reality!
We could not do it on our own, so we brought in some fabulous vendors to help create this fairytale!

This proposal was featured on Disney Fairytale Weddings Blog!

Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
Then somebody bends
Unexpectedly

Just a little change
Small to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the Beast

Ever just the same
Ever a surprise
Ever as before
Ever just as sure
As the sun will rise

***Little did she know that her ring was sitting right next to her during the whole shoot hidden inside of the bottom book! While she used the top book as a prop to read, she would have never guessed the velvet bookmark on the book below marked the spot  where her ring laid in carved out pages.

THE FAIRYTALE PROPOSAL

He grabbed the red book and dropped to one knee.

She smiles, oh what could this be…

This is the moment she realizes this is a real proposal ( not just for the photo shoot) !

She said YES !!!

IT’S A FAIRYTALE DREAM COME TRUE!

Tale as old as time
Song as old as rhyme
Bitter sweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong

“Gone away is the bluebird, here to stay is a new bird

He sings a love song, as we go along

Walking in a winter wonderland…”

At Couture we hold a few key words in mind when styling weddings and our holiday tables: glamour, class, beauty, and whim. We can almost hear the photos singing a fabulous mashup of Fergie’s “Glamorous” and the Christmas classic, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland.” Set inside the Culy Warehouse we hung a backdrop of light bulbs against an unfinished wall. The contrast of soft and bright against the wall of rough and textured made for a perfect setting, creating a room that was all softly aglow. Our gorgeous brides are dressed in Bliss Bride’s winter wedding gowns and are accompanied by Couture Events very own snow-furred pup, Bruiser.

The table, benches, sofas, and chairs came from one of our favorite furniture rental companies, Lounge Appeal. The invitations made in icy hues, elegant cursive, and accented with silk ribbon and a crystal broach set the tone for an affair to be remembered. We also placed a name card at each setting to welcome the guests to their chair. The gorgeous centerpieces made of beautiful winter white flowers mixed with crystals and delicately glistening silver leaves. Crystal candelabras and shimmering candlesticks, timeless silver dinnerware and white glitter made for a truly winter chic table. To top it all off we add some snow (*glitter*) our favorite and final touch. Be dazzled and enjoy, and don’t hold back an ounce of cheer this holiday season. FROST YOURSELVES, your holidays, and your wedding!

The table decor is just as important as the food. Long before the appetizers are served, your table will make the first impression.

We decorated the beautiful holiday table in rich shades of red and gold. On the table, we placed three gorgeous centerpieces created by Organic Elements consisting of burgundy dahlias, roses, gold enameled succulents, and iridescent ornaments. Also on the dressing the table were gold chargers, gold rimmed plates, napkins, flatware, and an assortment of glasses from Raphaels. We then placed pine, pine cones, and candlesticks strategically around the centerpieces.  The table, benches, sofas, and chairs came from one of our preferred furniture rental companies, Lounge Appeal. We placed a name card at each setting to welcome the guests to their chair, these were created by Paper Scissors Print. To top it all off we wanted to add some sparkle (*our favorite and final touch*). We did this with gold glitter, gold leaves, sparkled candles, and red sequins. We sprinkled them around to add a modern twist and shimmer to the table.

Couture Tip:

Always add a special surprise for the guests, something they would not expect. In this case it was the sparkle! Think about how you could add some special touches to your holiday table! Head to your local craft store and get creative. DIY details are the best way to add a personal touch. XO- Couture Events

We coordinated this fabulous fashion show for the Dress for Success organization. We were so excited and honored to be a part of this wonderful event. The show took place on the rooftop of Hotel Solamar, it was the perfect setting for this classy and chic event.

The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

This entire fashion show, models, make-up, hair, lighting, music, designers, and coordination is all produced by WOMEN. We are now, more than ever, seeing more successful woman in the workplace!

The designers:

Kendall k. is a woman’s clothing line comprised of flirty, feminine pieces
with intricate detailing and a hint of vintage appeal. The brand infuses
lady-like charm, European flare and modern sensibility for the women with
inherent style.”

Stacie May is a local San Diego Designer. She is showing her Eternal Reverie Collection. While colorful and whimsical, the collection is something that can appeal to most women. There are dresses for afternoon weddings or a day at the polo club, dresses for a date night our night out on the town, and even some fun mix and match pieces. The Collection as a whole is meant to make women feel free to have fun and express themselves!

Molly B Bikinis is swimwear designed and made locally in Sunny San Diego. Each piece is inspired by the nostalgic beach lifestyle of classic California. Their 2011 line uses colors and styles that capture the feel of a Classic California beach lifestyle. Think 1960s and 1970s when bikini fashion was simple yet still daring. That timeless bikini was fashionable yet functional. It is the surf bikini you can wear all day, and easily transition into the night with. This San Diego bikini line presents a

perfect bikini, suited for beach bikini fashion with timeless California
style.

Karen Dietz hand dyed silks and fabrics for Molly B Bikinis that were crafted into pareos and beach over-ups for the fashion show. All are either very lightweight cotton or silk chiffon, and dye colors were custom blended to match the swimsuits. Techniques used included wrapping the fabric around poles and then applying the dye, accordion pleating the fabric, scrunching and tying the fabric into bundles, or hanging the fabric on a line and letting the dye drop down the cloth. Several pieces were over-dyed or color was discharged to create the different patterns on the cloth. In addition, the bamboo and cloth purse was hand painted for a one-of-a-kind look.

La Isla Jewelry‘s selection of necklaces and earrings are designed with semi-precious gemstones and accented with sterling silver and gold vermeil. We also have a variety of sophisticated casual tropical-wear pieces composed of coral and beautiful shells.

Adrianna Papell: This brand focuses on affordable luxury for “real women” dressing everyone from the mother of the bride to the prom queen. The collection incorporates important trends and includes fabulous evening dresses, day dresses, evening separates, and private-label sportswear.

Aidan Mattox: Inspired by the sophistication and elegance of Hollywood, Aidan Mattox creates luxurious dresses for social occasion, red-carpet, celebrity events and prom. The Aidan Mattox Collection was launched in 2004 to rave reviews. The collection includes extremely chic cocktail dresses as well as dramatic floor-length gowns, with alluring high fashion details in opulent jewel tones
and stunning neutrals.

It was such an incredible night and we were so grateful to be a part of it!
