Vendor Love

Now its time to get down to the nitty gritty, those little details that make a huge difference, the hairs that protect our eyes- EYELASHES!

While they are small, they make a HUGE difference on our appearance!

Yes, we are talking about EYELASH EXTENSIONS for your wedding day, honeymoon, or just your everyday  love life! I had always been afraid of lash extensions because of the horror stories I have heard. That was until I met Cynthia, she is such a sweetheart. When she first contact me to tell us about lashes for our clients I have to admit I was skeptical. She convinced me to give them try, I went to her cute spa room and really enjoyed the next 2 hours… as she individually glued an extension lash to each of my lashes… I chatted for a bit, took a nap, organized life in my head, and had some peaceful moments of reflection… at the end I had about 60 lash extensions on each lid. She was so patient and caring with each and every move she made.

STYLE MY LASHES

(I will now recommend her to everyone who is looking for lash extensions).

We have already had one of our brides go to her and she also had an incredible experience and loved her lashes for her big day! It’s a natural glam look!

Here is my before and after :) (yes I am showing you my face without makeup, eeekkkk…).

I got the Hollywood Glam look (60 lashes) and it still looked natural and beautiful!! Thanks Cynthia! Now I can say from personal experience that I would recommend Cynthia for lash extensions, she is FABULOUS!!!!

This year we were invited to participate in the US Grant Wedding Showcase! We were so honored and beyond excited to participate in this amazing luxury bridal event! We patterned with Blush Botanicals & Concepts Event Design to make our Springtime in Paris inspiration come to life! With beautiful shades of pink, peach, and orange!

Blush Botanicals did such an incredible job with the florals, their crystal candelabras are so incredible and we also adore their new gold candelabras, so we decided to use both! They accented each plate with a gorgeous pink peony, it was the perfect detail! Love these girls and love their work! We are always so honored when we have the chance to work with them!

Concepts Event Design provided the gorgeous white glossy table as well as the shabby chic couches, coffee table, and draping! We absolutely adore this furniture! INCREDIBLE in every way! We can’t wait to work with them again at our next event! Haydee and Federico are amazing to work with, they make sure to take care of their client- customer service is excellent and they have a great eye for event design and spacing, they make sure the event always looks PERFECT!

Photography by Bryan N. Miller Photography! He is awesome and always captures every detail perfectly! Thank you Bryan!!!

We were so honored to be asked to create a gorgeous tabletop at the La Valencia’s LOVE story showcase!

We loved creating our Springtime in Paris tabletop thanks to Lounge Appeal and Posies Flowers! Lounge Appeals furniture is beyond compare, we love everything they make, especially their new Royal Collection, simply stunning! Leigh from Posies is INCREDIBLE, we love her attention to detail, (in each of these arrangements she sprayed the foliage gold), she also is always coming up with something new and innovative, not to mention she is a total sweetheart! Hope you love our tabletop creation as much as we do!

Huge THANK YOU to Aaron of TRUE PHOTOGRAPHY for capturing everything perfectly! His work is always exquisite!

Meet Erica

Erica is a San Diego wedding, lifestyle and boudoir photographer. Besides being incredibly talented and amazing she is also sweet as pie! She is such a dream to have as your photographer and instantly makes you feel at ease and comfortable being photographed! Erica loves capturing people in love and is so passionate about capturing the cherished moments in life. She takes stunningly gorgeous photographs that look and feel natural and prides herself on using natural light! See the talent for yourselves!

We had the chance to do a Q & A with Erica the owner of Acres Of Hope Photography to find out more about her company and the woman who started it!

Q. How did you get into photography?

A. I learned film photography when I was thirteen years old, shooting for my school’s yearbook. I acquired my first professional digital camera when I was eighteen (thanks, Dad) and have been growing my business ever since. I never cease to learn.

Q. What differentiates you from other photographers in the area?

A. I love and appreciate the use of natural light and natural colors in my images. I don’t use any vintage overtones or layers in my post-production- I love to deliver images that represent the real environment in which the image was created.

Q. Where do you get your inspiration?

A. There are a few California photographers whose use of natural light and colors I admire, but most of the inspiration for a shoot comes from my couples; each of my couples is unique and different. They have a unique style of love for each other, a unique and characteristic interaction, clothing style, wedding style, etc. I try to never shoot the same set of locations twice, so a lot of my inspiration comes from nature itself and the new locations I find myself in.

Q. What do you love most about your job?

A. The wedding day. I love seeing a giddy, anxious bride and an excited groom, awaiting their first look with one another. My favorite time of the wedding day is the bride and groom portraits- I could shoot them all day long! I cry at almost every wedding- just a little, so no one sees- either during the ceremony or the first dance. I’m such a baby!

Q. What are some up and coming trends for 2011 and 2012?

I’m booking a lot of backyard, garden, vineyard/winery and private estate weddings for next year- my favorite! I love that more brides and grooms are turning towards outdoor venues- with the beautiful weather we have year-round here in So Cal, why stay indoors? I also love the beautiful, creative DIY details in involved in every wedding, and appreciate the fact that less-crafty people (like me!) can include so many unique details courtesy of Etsy and some really creative wedding planners

Cupcakes, cake-pops and pies, oh my!  You’ve thought out every other detail, so why not enjoy the sweetest part of your special day by incorporating all of your favorite desserts?  With every wedding, my first quest is to discover the dessert table—a plethora of mini tastings or rather one traditional cake?  Fortunately I am finding that more variety and sweet treat options are definitely the way to go!  This sweet trend offers variety, personality, AND it is completely customizable with your own colors, tastes, and design!  This is the chance to put aside your traditional tendencies and get creative!  Cupcakes, cake-pops, ice cream, mini-cakes, pies, candy buffets, cookies, cotton candy, chocolate fondue…the possibilities of your sweet-tooth are endless.  I guarantee that your guests will be pleasantly surprised to indulge in a spread of their personal favorites as well!
